As a Relationship Sales Officer on the Payments - Domestic Banks team, you will be responsible for developing business from under penetrated clients/prospects. You will play an integral part in helping our clients meet objectives such as challenges in cash management, payment solutions, FX, receivables and blockchain related services. You are a strategic thinker, passionate about delivering solutions to clients. You have found the right team. As a Relationship Sales/Business Development Officer you will be responsible for developing business from under penetrated clients/prospects. You will build pipeline and achieve new business sales goals through effective account planning, strong relationships, and implementation of sophisticated selling strategies.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Work in partnership with GCB bankers and Payments colleagues to jointly develop new profitable business from prospective and existing clients.  Meeting sales and financial metrics for the business.
  • Understand clients' business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to better determine their requirements and identify potential new business opportunities for J.P. Morgan Payments via appropriate solution(s); traditional cash management, receivables, trade, International payments, liquidity.
  • Identify and engage clients on the various J.P. Morgan innovation strategies and products.
  • Manage client visitation and contact; promoting sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market and industry developments.
  • Work closely with the coverage team to drive efforts to expand existing business with current clients, providing feedback to product managers and generating cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other J.P. Morgan lines of business.
  • Engage JPMorgan Payments Solutions, bankers and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client driven framework.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

  • Possess knowledge and understanding of treasury services, payments, receivables, FX products
  • 5+ years of cash management, sales and relationship management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong relationship, creative solutioning and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and time management skills
  • Understanding of Compliance and KYC processes
  • Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and awareness

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Comprehension of the Banks sector, business needs and potential solutions 
  • Experience with USA regional banks 
  • Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) - Certified Treasury Professional Designation
