As a People Business Partner, Corporate at Anchorage Digital, you will be a pivotal strategic partner to our critical Global Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit teams. Joining our collaborative community of Villagers, you'll leverage your deep expertise to shape organizational strategy, enhance the employee experience, and drive exceptional results in a fast-paced, intellectually curious environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead complex people initiatives, from strategic compensation and succession planning to navigating the specific needs of our regulatory-bound teams, ensuring Anchorage continues to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the financial services industry while upholding our commitment to integrity and excellence.

Technical Skills

  • Applies profound expertise in all facets of the employee lifecycle, including complex compensation structures, equity strategy, and robust performance management frameworks, specifically within a financial services context.
  • Defines and refines HR strategies, processes, and programs for critical corporate functions (Global Operations, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit), contributing directly to Anchorage’s overarching people and business objectives.

Complexity and impact of work

  • Leverages independent judgment to navigate highly ambiguous and complex HR challenges, such as strategic compensation and succession planning for regulatory-bound teams, delivering innovative and compliant solutions.
  • Leads mission-critical people projects and initiatives that significantly impact the effectiveness and success of Anchorage's corporate functions and overall organizational resilience.
  • Drives the definition and execution of HR processes and operations, demonstrating extreme ownership and ensuring successful cross-functional implementation, with accountability for results across the organization.

Organizational knowledge

  • Engages directly with Anchorage leadership on critical strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring people strategies are deeply aligned with business objectives and future growth.
  • Develops and champions people programs and initiatives that support Anchorage’s strategic objectives and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture across diverse teams, particularly those in regulatory environments.
  • Acts as a cultural steward and role model, actively mentoring Villagers and fostering an environment of collaboration, integrity, and intellectual curiosity across teams.

Communication and influence

  • Clearly articulates and influences critical people strategies and decisions with senior leadership, including navigating complex topics, often in situations requiring alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Serves as a trusted strategic advisor and subject matter expert to leaders and Villagers across Global Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit, guiding them in people-related matters.
  • Mentors team members at various levels, fostering thoughtful discussions and providing leadership that shapes the direction of strategic people programs and initiatives organization-wide.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and driving organizational HR strategies that align with business goals in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Profound knowledge of the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, growth & development, retention, and offboarding.
  • Extensive experience navigating strategic compensation decisions, including equity planning, executive compensation, and total rewards philosophy, specifically within financial services firms.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic advisor and consultant to senior leaders, particularly within Global Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit functions.
  • Deep understanding of succession planning and workforce development strategies to build a robust talent pipeline and ensure long-term organizational success.
  • Expertise in managing HR considerations and compliance for teams operating under regulatory requirements, demonstrating a strong grasp of risk management in HR.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to engage effectively and build trust with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate extreme ownership, and drive complex, cross-functional projects to successful completion, even in ambiguous situations.
