  • Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation

  • Support employees and managers through organizational change, helping create a positive and consistent experience during periods of growth and transition

  • Partner with leaders to strengthen manager capability through coaching, feedback, and practical tools that enable effective people leadership

  • Provide guidance related to compensation practices, benefits, HR policies, and employee programs while ensuring consistent application of Compass standards

  • Identify trends and opportunities across supported centers and collaborate with the broader People Operations team on solutions

  • Help reinforce Compass culture, values, and operating practices across diverse teams and locations

  • Maintain appropriate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance standards when handling sensitive employee matters

  • Balance the needs of multiple locations and priorities while operating independently and proactively communicating with stakeholders

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR generalist, HR business partner, or similar role with broad exposure across employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and HR operations

  • Experience supporting leaders and employees in a dynamic, multi-site, or field-based environment

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law fundamentals, and compliance considerations

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels

  • Strong judgment and discretion when managing confidential team member information and sensitive situations

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple locations, competing needs, and evolving priorities independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting healthcare, ASCs, physician practices, or other regulated environments

  • Experience supporting organizations through growth, integrations, acquisitions, or significant change

  • Experience managing HR support across a distributed workforce or multi-location portfolio

  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field

  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related HR technology platforms

In this role, success means:

  • Center leaders view People Operations as a trusted partner who helps them effectively lead their teams

  • Employees experience a consistent, supportive, and accessible HR presence as Compass continues to grow

  • Managers are equipped with the tools, coaching, and guidance needed to confidently navigate people decisions

  • Employee relations matters are addressed thoughtfully, consistently, and at the appropriate level
