We are a leading Engineering company looking for an outstanding PLC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, testing, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems to support customer production requirements. This role involves programming PLCs, integrating control systems, supporting equipment commissioning, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure automation solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley Studio 5000/RSLogix.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Design and implement PLC logic, machine sequences, and automation solutions for manufacturing systems.
  • Commission, test, debug, and optimize automated production lines.
  • Support installation, startup, and production ramp-up activities at customer facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, and automation-related issues during commissioning and production.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and field technicians to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all automation systems comply with customer specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide project status updates as needed.

NOTE: Please note this role requires regular travel to project assignments within the United States.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of PLC programming experience, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Required experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs (Studio 5000/RSLogix).
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7 is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, electrical controls, sensors, and production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Availability to travel extensively and temporarily relocate within the United States based on project demands.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
