The Principal Demand Generation Manager, Campaign Development, leads how Databricks plans and scales integrated marketing campaigns across the organization. This role defines the campaign framework and strategic guidance, and enables marketers to execute consistently. They are a key business SME that translates business needs into business requirements for campaign operations and planning tools.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Demand Generation, this role is responsible for uniting cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute biannual, strategic, and integrated marketing plans across Demand Generation, Field Marketing, Corporate Events, Partner Marketing, and Industry. You’ll act as a central hub across various go-to-market teams—ensuring we align with the company's overarching priorities and deliver measurable growth.

The impact you will have:

  • The CMO staff has timely, decision-ready visibility into campaign performance, program and investment shifts, and open questions requiring business guidance, enabling coordinated pivots as priorities change.
    In partnership with Senior leadership, establishes a clear, repeatable integrated campaign framework; defining the primary GTM campaign themes, audience strategy, target setting, investment mix, channel activation, and regional business-unit planning requirements.
    Every priority integrated campaign has a consistent, cross-functional plan that aligns audiences, business targets, investment allocation, channel activation, and regional execution before launch.
    Marketers have practical strategic guidance, templates, and planning standards that improve consistency across campaigns while enabling campaign managers to make effective execution decisions.
    Translates the campaign strategy into a business requirements documentation (BRD) that the Campaign Operations team can leverage when developing scalable processes, workflows, data fields, and operating capabilities.
    Evolve planning processes to support more agile integrated campaign planning, clear feedback loops, and greater visibility into campaign readiness and performance.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in demand generation marketing within a high-growth company.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to work with senior leadership to debate, drive decisions, and define clear expectations across the organization. 
  • Experience developing, executing, and measuring integrated campaigns end-to-end, with the ability to connect strategy, audience, investment, activation, and performance.
  • Proven ability to build operational frameworks, planning processes, templates, and feedback loops that drive consistent execution across a complex marketing organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing campaign investments and using performance analysis to guide prioritization, resource allocation, and business decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leaders toward alignment and action.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Growth mindset and openness to fresh thinking, new ideas, and opportunities to improve how integrated campaigns are planned and delivered.


Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 2 Pay Range
$185,300—$254,750 USD
Zone 3 Pay Range
$175,000—$240,550 USD
