Cloud Network Engineer

We’re looking for a Principal Network Automation Engineer to lead the design and automation of our enterprise and hybrid cloud network infrastructure. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape the future of our network strategy, work with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate with top talent across cloud, security, and automation teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Design: Architect and troubleshoot complex network environments across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid platforms (AWS, Azure).

  • Automate Everything: Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

  • Secure the Network: Deploy and manage enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and ensure compliance with frameworks like FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI.

  • Innovate with Open Source: Implement routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EVPN) using FRRouting (FRR) and other open-source tools.

  • Optimize Performance: Use observability tools (SolarWinds, FortiAnalyzer, Panorama) to monitor and enhance network reliability.

  • Champion Automation: Drive self-service automation and contribute to AI-powered network intelligence initiatives.

  • Collaborate: Partner with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to align automation strategies with business goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 8+ years in enterprise network engineering and automation.

  • Technical Depth: Expert in Linux systems, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and troubleshooting complex distributed environments.

  • Tools & Tech: Hands-on with VMware, VCF (Aria for Networking), NSX, NVIDIA Cumulus, SONiC, and Fortinet SD-WAN.

  • Mindset: Passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Compensation range for this role is $125,000.00 to $150,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.

Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:

  • Location-based market rate for the role

  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification

  • Performance during screening and interview

  • Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
