Lead enterprise readiness for Focus: define strategy, roadmap, and operating plan for security, compliance, governance, deployment, and extensibility. Coordinate cross-functional teams, prioritize work by risk and revenue impact, translate enterprise requirements into pragmatic product decisions, and communicate executive-ready narratives to remove adoption blockers for large and regulated customers.
Company background
At Atlassian, our mission is to unleash the potential of every team. We build tools that help teams plan, collaborate, and deliver great work together. Our products support millions of users globally, from software and IT teams to business teams driving company-wide outcomes.
We are building the future of work with a strong point of view on how people, teams, and AI can work better together. In Strategy Collection, that means creating enterprise-grade products that help organizations connect strategy to execution while meeting the security, compliance, governance, deployment, and integration requirements of the world's largest customers.
Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced, results-driven Principal Product Manager to own Enterprise Readiness for Focus within Atlassian's Strategy Collection product management team. Strategy Collection is Atlassian's "roof of the house" for the Atlassian System of Work, aligning company strategy to execution. This role will turn enterprise readiness from a broad theme into a clear operating plan that removes adoption blockers for large enterprises, regulated customers, implementation partners, and mid-market teams evaluating Focus.
You will define the strategy, roadmap, and operating cadence for capabilities such as public APIs, permissions and governance, data residency and compliance pathways such as FedRAMP. This is a hands-on, highly cross-functional role that requires strong technical judgment, customer empathy, enterprise SaaS depth, and the ability to influence product, engineering, platform, security, legal, GTM, and executive stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Head of Product of Strategy Collection.
Responsibilities
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. We follow consistent hiring practices and account for each candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience when setting base pay within the range.
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Responsibilities
- Define and own the Enterprise Readiness vision, roadmap, and operating plan for Focus within Strategy Collection, translating customer, partner, and compliance needs into clear priorities and shipped outcomes.
- Build and maintain a readiness map across shipped, in-flight, blocked, and missing capabilities, including public APIs, permissions, audit logs, data share, automation, sandboxes, etc.
- Prioritize work based on customer impact, revenue protection and growth, enterprise security gates, partner enablement, and risk reduction for strategic accounts in regulated industries.
- Drive critical cross-functional initiatives and enterprise readiness definition of "done" for future launches.
- Partner deeply with engineering, design, platform, security, compliance, legal, data, GTM, support, and partner teams to align owners, dependencies, milestones, and escalation paths across Focus and platform-owned work.
- Translate complex enterprise requirements into pragmatic product decisions, balancing near-term blockers with a durable strategy for security, governance, scale, extensibility, and admin control.
- Use customer evidence, partner feedback, account data, risk assessment, and product telemetry to size opportunities, make tradeoffs, and communicate the business case for investment.
- Create clear executive-ready narratives on current state, top risks, roadmap choices, and progress against outcomes; proactively escalate when commitments, customer trust, or revenue are at risk.
- Establish lightweight cadences and accountability mechanisms so enterprise readiness becomes part of how Focus ships, not a post-GA remediation effort.
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. We follow consistent hiring practices and account for each candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience when setting base pay within the range.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, including significant ownership of enterprise SaaS products, platform capabilities, or infrastructure-heavy product areas.
- Proven ability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with high executive visibility and multiple dependent teams, especially where product outcomes depend on platform, security, compliance, or infrastructure work.
- Strong enterprise SaaS fluency across security, compliance, governance, administration, deployment architecture, extensibility, and scaled operations.
- Experience with enterprise-grade capabilities such as public APIs, permissions/RBAC, audit logs, data residency, BYOK/CMK, single-tenant or isolated cloud deployments, sandboxes, automation, data sharing, identity/access management, or compliance certifications such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, ISO, SOC2, GDPR, or CCPA.
- Ability to work credibly with engineering and platform teams on technical tradeoffs, dependencies, sequencing, migration plans, and risk mitigation without needing to own implementation details.
- Exceptional customer and market judgment, with experience synthesizing input from large enterprise customers, regulated industries, implementation partners, sales, success, support, and security reviews.
- Strong strategic thinking and prioritization skills, including the ability to connect enterprise readiness work to revenue protection, adoption, customer trust, partner ecosystem growth, and long-term product strategy.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including crisp executive narratives, clear operating plans, and the ability to influence stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Track record of driving teams from ambiguity to execution: defining scope, owners, success metrics, milestones, risks, and decision points.
- Experience with Atlassian products, strategy/portfolio management, enterprise collaboration products, regulated customers, or partner-led implementation motions is a strong plus.
