As a SoC Design Verification Engineer in the Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG), you will be responsible for verifying complex HBM SoC logic/base die designs from block through full-chip level. You will work closely with the architecture, RTL design, physical design, firmware, and product teams to ensure the functional correctness, performance, and robustness of next-generation HBM products.
This role emphasizes system-level thinking, verification methodology, and ownership of functional quality, leading to first-pass silicon success.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and complete verification plans for SoC-level and subsystem builds based on architectural and micro-architectural specifications.
- Develop verification components including UVM agents, scoreboards, checkers, assertions, and coverage models.
- Drive functional coverage closure, ensuring thorough validation of features, corner cases, and error scenarios.
- Verify complex IP integrations (e.g., controllers, microcontrollers, NOC, interfaces, MBIST/DFT logic, RAS, adapters, buffers).
- Collaborate with RTL designers to debug and resolve functional issues efficiently in simulation and emulation.
- Participate in SoC-level integration verification, including reset, clocking, power management, configuration, and coherency scenarios.
- Leverage hardware emulation/acceleration platforms to enable scalable verification and early firmware bring-up.
- Support post-silicon validation and debug, correlating silicon issues with pre-silicon verification results.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in SoC or IP-level design verification.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM, including constrained-random stimulus, assertions (SVA), and verification guided by coverage metrics.
- Solid understanding of SoC architectures, including bus fabrics/NOCs, memory-mapped interfaces, interrupts, and configuration flows.
- Experience debugging complex functional issues across RTL, testbench, and system-level interactions.
- Familiarity with industry EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, and/or Siemens.
- Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Perl, TCL, or shell.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience verifying HBM, DRAM, or memory-centric SoCs.
- Exposure to hardware emulation or acceleration platforms (e.g., Palladium, Veloce, Zebu).
- Familiarity with DFT/MBIST concepts and their impact on verification.
- Experience with power-aware verification concepts (e.g., UPF-based scenarios).
- Knowledge of industry standards such as JEDEC.
