The Principal Test Engineer leads the creation and deployment of production-ready Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for high-performance automotive processors from concept through high-volume mass production.

  • Develop test plans and test programs for IP within the chip.

  • Hardware Design: Design ATE loadboards for multi-gigahertz range.

  • Characterization & Validation: Execute PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) characterization, first silicon bring-up, and IC qualification.

  • Yield & Cost Optimization: Utilize statistical data processing and design of experiments (DOE) to enhance yield and drive down test time and manufacturing costs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner globally with analog/digital design, product engineering, quality assurance, and offshore assembly/test subcontractors (OSATs).

  • Lifecycle Support: Oversee production release, define test limits, and manage customer support or customer returns.
