Minted is seeking a highly influential Principal UX Designer to define our shopping experience vision and tackle complex business challenges across our entire web and mobile commerce experience - including features such as search, recommendations, navigation, pricing, promotions, and our landing pages. You will be responsible for defining and building a premium shopping experience that supports all of Minted’s product lines and consumer segments. Your focus will be on conveying the premium quality of our products, highlighting the role we play in consumer’s lives and exposing users to our new product lines. • Champion a user-centered approach, using research and empathy to advocate for customer and artist needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (product, engineering, brand, research) ensuring brand consistency and stakeholder alignment
  • Lead concepting and prototyping for new features, focusing on mobile-first principles and core funnel optimization (navigation, IA)
  • Design and facilitate workshops (e.g., discovery, ideation, strategy alignment) that effectively engage cross-functional teams and drive towards user-centered outcomes, solutions, or strategic clarity
  • Mentor designers and partners, fostering their growth in design thinking
  • Help prioritize design work based on user needs and establish systems to communicate those needs

You have:

  • Significant experience leading design strategy to address high-stakes business challenges
  • Proven experience designing for e-commerce platforms across desktop, mobile web, and native mobile applications
  • Experience as a mentor who enjoys helping others grow
  • Expertise in user-centric design, research methodologies (qual/quant), interaction/visual design, user behavior, and current trends (especially mobile-first)
  • Strong storytelling ability to bridge current and future user journeys

You are:

  • Someone with at least 5 years of relevant UX experience
  • Proficient with design and collaboration tools (Figma, user testing, Confluence, Google Suite)
  • An expert communicator, skilled in building alignment and connecting decisions to research and goals
  • Adept at balancing multiple projects and comfortable shifting between strategic and tactical work
  • Open, collaborative, listen well, and skilled at gracefully challenging ideas
  • Resourceful and adaptable, adept at navigating ambiguity and driving impact within a dynamic and evolving business environment
  • Pragmatic and outcome-oriented, with a strong sense of when to prioritize speed and iterative learning versus investing in foundational, scalable solutions
