Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a SMT Process Engineer located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Director, Process Engineering, the SMT Process Engineer will be in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:

  • Program, set up, debug and troubleshoot SMT manufacturing equipment including Laser Marking, Screen Printing, Solder Paste Inspection, Glue Dispenser, SMT Placement, Reflow, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
  • Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for
  • Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters.
  • Trouble shoot process related issues for RCCA.
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
  • Implement statistical process controls on new and existing products.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.

THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING TO ADD TO THE TEAM:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
  • 4+ years of experience in position as engineer
  • Experience with brands such as ASYS, DEK, MPM, ASM, Fuji, Yamaha, Koy Young, BTU, Heller, ERSA, ASYS, Nordson, YJ Link, and Nutek is ideal.
  • Analyze yield data and drive RCCA
  • PFMEA, DOE's and SPC is a plus.
  • Autocad and Solidworks is a plus
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
