Department Overview
Motorola Solutions’ Video and Software (V&S) offer portfolio thrives within the overall Motorola’s ecosystem. The Product and Business Operations team provides the support needed by the product teams developing products in this portfolio to bring these solutions to market in an operationally effective and profitable way, while managing the offers throughout its offer lifecycle. This includes managing the product management operational aspects of the product development process for solutions (hardware, software, accessories, services) that need to be set up for first launch.
Job Description

In this role, you will lead a team that will help execute strategy and product-related initiatives for our V&S global portfolio. This role will have high visibility to Motorola’s senior leadership and give opportunities to collaborate across the entire business. The level of exposure and meaningfulness of the work will provide a great opportunity for future advancement within the corporation. The role involves prioritizing regional expansion through compliance approvals and language adaptations. This team is responsible for product operations/maintenance of pricing documentation, ensuring products remain orderable, fulfillable, renewable, maintainable until the offer is end of life.

Key responsibilities of this position include;

  • People Leadership: Set clear goals and hold people to them — fairly and consistently

  • Accountability: Demonstrate and instill strong ownership and accountability for all deliverables within the team.

  • Strategic Oversight: Analyze and translate strategy into actionable recommendations 

  • Problem Solving: Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues and gather high-level requirements to build comprehensive solutions.

  • Optimization: Maintain offer structure for MSI’s V&S portfolio offers leveraging advanced system and tool expertise from new product introduction to product end of life.

  • Integrator: Serve as the primary liaison between the product team and IT, focusing on building scalable business processes powered by new system and tool functionality.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience in public safety products with a Bachelor's degree.

  • Strong people manager — you set expectations, have difficult conversations and develop individuals

  • Understanding of ERP and/or quote-to-cash systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to understand and communicate the big picture while being able to be detail-oriented about execution

  • Self-motivated, results-driven with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Understanding of Motorola Solution’s D- Stream process 

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, organization, and curiosity to develop new methods and processes

  • Comfortable working with large datasets, and ability to synthesize data

Target Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
