A career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference and invest in your growth in a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment. If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.

Job SummaryFlex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Product Data Manager.

Reporting to the Manager, Product Performance & Analytics the Product Data Manager is responsible for the integrity, completeness, and governance of product information throughout its entire lifecycle — from new product introduction (NPI) through manufacturing, commercial launch, and end-of-life disposition.  This role serves as the authoritative owner of the product record across product information tools (Inventor, Vault), ERP systems, and CPQ configurator platforms including DATABAR, IBAR, and Low Voltage Switchgear.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Own and maintain the master product record across all platforms — including part numbers, item descriptions, product classifications, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and revision histories — in alignment with the Product Lifecycle (PLC) framework.
  • Manage the product data lifecycle from NPI through engineering changes, product variants, and end-of-life disposition, ensuring all lifecycle stage gates have complete and accurate data before advancement.
  • Serve as the primary data owner for CPQ configurator platforms including DATABAR, IBAR, and Low Voltage Switchgear, ensuring product options, rules, and configurations reflect the current approved product record.
  • Partner with sales, product management, and engineering to define configurator data requirements for new products and translate them into structured, validated configurator inputs.
  • Identify and address systemic root causes of data inaccuracy — not just downstream symptoms — through structured improvement initiatives.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, Computer Science/Business Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in a product data, product management, PLM, CPQ, or related role within a manufacturing or engineering-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with CPQ configurator platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with Autodesk, Windchill, Solidworks products, particularly Inventor and Autodesk Vault, including part management, assembly structures, and revision control.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or equivalent) in the context of item master management, BOM management, or procurement data.
  • Proven experience managing or supporting Engineering Change Order/Notice (ECO/ECN) processes in a multi-site or multi-system environment.
  • Strong understanding of EBOM/MBOM structures, and NPI processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a track record of improving data quality across complex, multi-system environments.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills — comfortable leading cross-functional discussions across engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
