Rresponsibilities
- Serve as Binance's global product legal lead, providing regulatory and legal guidance across the full product lifecycle — from ideation through launch to ongoing operations
- Advise product teams on regulatory implications of new features, product enhancements, and market expansions across jurisdictions
- Lead the assessment and mitigation of regulatory risks across Binance's product suite, including spot and derivatives trading, payments, digital assets, and emerging verticals
- Partner directly with product managers, engineers, compliance, risk, and BD to embed legal and regulatory considerations into product development processes
- Build and maintain scalable product compliance frameworks and controls that support growth across diverse regulatory environments
- Act as a key decision-maker in product governance forums, balancing regulatory compliance with business objectives and user needs
- Lead engagement with regulators and external counsel on product-related matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Stay ahead of global regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance for product and business teams
- Conduct cross-functional workshops and training to elevate regulatory awareness across the organization
Requirements:
- Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction with significant international regulatory legal experience.
- 10+ years of experience in regulatory legal roles, preferably in-house at a technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency company
- Deep knowledge of global financial product regulation, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets
- Proven track record of working embedded with product and engineering teams to shape product decisions
- Experience managing complex regulatory compliance matters and engaging with regulators across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience leading and scaling legal teams across regions
- Strong stakeholder management skills — ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, business leaders, product teams, and external counsel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong business acumen with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
- Deep understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and its evolving global regulatory landscape
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment managing multiple priorities
