We are looking for a motivated, commercially-minded Product Manager to join the Yellowfin team. Yellowfin is a powerful embedded analytics and business intelligence platform that enables organizations to build rich, AI-guided
dashboards and reporting applications from their corporate data. A key differentiator is Yellowfin’s embedded analytics capability – companies can seamlessly integrate Yellowfin into their own applications and fully rebrand the platform, delivering a white-labeled BI experience to their end users.
Increasingly, Yellowfin is the analytics engine of choice for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who want to deliver rich, embedded reporting and analytics natively within their own SaaS applications. This ISV embedded use case is our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and this role will be central to understanding that market deeply, shaping product strategy, and partnering with sales to win the right customers.
Responsibilities
Customer and Market Intelligence
  • Be the internal authority on the ISV embedded analytics buyer – deeply understand how ISVs evaluate, purchase, embed, brand, and monetize analytics within their SaaS products.
  • Conduct ongoing customer discovery through interviews, customer calls, advisory boards, and win/loss analysis to maintain a sharp understanding of customer needs, buying criteria, and unmet problems.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape across embedded BI and analytics – track competitors, emerging players, and technology trends, and translate those insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Synthesize customer and market intelligence into clear, compelling narratives that inform product strategy, roadmap priorities, and go-to-market positioning.
  • Be hands-on with the product – install, configure, and use Yellowfin as your target customers would, understanding the embedded integration experience from the perspective of both ISV developers and their end users.
Product Strategy and Roadmap
  • Own and shape the Yellowfin product strategy for the ISV and embedded analytics segment, ensuring the roadmap reflects real market opportunities and is differentiated against the competition.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to translate strategic priorities into a well-sequenced roadmap, clearly communicating the ‘why’ behind prioritization decisions to internal stakeholders.
  • Define and articulate compelling product positioning and value propositions that resonate with ISV buyers, their technical evaluators, and the end users of embedded analytics.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for new capabilities, partnerships, or market expansions that align with Yellowfin’s embedded analytics growth strategy.
  • Communicate product strategy and roadmap confidently to executive leadership, sales, and marketing – ensuring all teams are aligned and energized around a shared direction.
Sales Enablement and Go-to-Market
  • Work closely with sales teams to help them identify, qualify, and win ISV opportunities – providing the customer and product knowledge that gives them confidence in competitive situations.
  • Help product marketing create sales enablement materials including personas, use cases, competitive battle cards, and solution narratives tailored to the ISV embedded analytics buyer journey.
  • Participate in strategic sales cycles as a product expert – joining customer conversations, delivering product demos, and helping prospects understand how Yellowfin solves their specific embedded analytics challenge.
  • Partner with marketing to develop messaging, campaigns, and content that effectively reaches ISV buyers and positions Yellowfin as the preferred embedded analytics platform.
  • Support successful product launches by coordinating go-to-market readiness across sales, marketing, and customer success teams, including webinars, release communications, and field enablement.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Proven product management experience in a B2B SaaS or analytics software environment, with a track record of customer-led product strategy.
  • Exceptional ability to engage with customers – conduct discovery, extract insight, build relationships, and translate what you learn into strategic product and go-to-market decisions.
  • Strong commercial instincts – you think about winning customers, not just building features, and you understand how product strategy connects to revenue growth.
  • Ability to influence without authority: establish rapport, build trust, and communicate your product vision persuasively across sales, marketing, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – you can craft compelling narratives for different audiences, from a CTO evaluating an analytics SDK to a CEO reviewing a company roadmap.
  • Experience working with international teams across multiple time zones and with large, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously without losing sight of strategic goals.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – able to be flexible, embrace change, and refine strategy as the market and business evolve.
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts – you don’t need to write the code, but you need to understand what matters to developers and architects evaluating an embedded analytics platform.
  • Independent, proactive, and thorough – you take ownership of outcomes and drive them to resolution.

Important Qualifications
These are highly valued but not absolute requirements:
  • Familiarity with the business intelligence, analytics, or data visualization software market.
  • Experience with or understanding of embedded analytics – how ISVs integrate third-party analytics into their own SaaS platforms and what drives their buying decisions.
  • Experience in a product marketing, solutions consulting, or pre-sales role within a software company – giving you a strong foundation for the sales enablement aspects of this role.
  • Project management or agile delivery experience.
  • Extra Bonus – Direct familiarity with Yellowfin and/or its main competitors (e.g., Sisense, Qlik, Logi Analytics, Tableau Embedded).
  • Extra Bonus – Experience working with or selling to ISVs, or deep understanding of the ISV SaaS business model and how ISVs evaluate embedded technology partners.
  • Extra Bonus – Familiarity with AI-driven analytics, natural language querying, or automated insights capabilities.
  • Extra Bonus – Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, or modern data stack technologies.

An Equal Opportunity Employer - All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
