About the role

At Thatch, we’re building a new way for modern businesses to offer great health benefits. We’re taking a unique approach in a legacy space, with backing from some of the world’s top investors (a16z, Index Ventures, Google Ventures, General Catalyst) and a team of top performers from companies like Stripe, Rippling, Ramp, Brex, and Shopify.

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own positioning and messaging, partner on sales enablement, and lead cross-functional GTM plans that drive adoption across employers and brokers. The ideal candidate blends customer empathy, crisp storytelling, and data-driven decision making.

As a key member of the Go-To-Market team, you’ll connect Product, Sales, Channel, and Marketing, turning product capabilities into revenue and advocacy. This is a highly cross-functional, fully remote role.

What you'll do
  • Own positioning & messaging by crafting clear value propositions by segment/persona and ensuring consistency across web, sales, and channel materials while leading "Market Moment" launches with tiered launch plans for new products and partnerships.
  • Build persona & ICP depth by developing detailed buyer/user personas (HR leaders, brokers, etc.) and mapping their pains, triggers, and objections to inform targeted marketing strategies.
  • Drive sales & channel enablement by creating pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, battlecards, and objection handling materials while helping train AE/SDR and broker-facing teams for maximum effectiveness.
  • Maintain competitive & market intelligence through win/loss insights, competitor tracking, and translating findings into actionable strategy and content that drives competitive advantage.
  • Source customer proof and content including stories, case studies, and testimonials while serving as the voice of the customer by synthesizing research, interviews, and support data to inform product roadmap and prioritization.
Background we're looking for
  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS product marketing (startup preferred) with demonstrated success leading multi-stakeholder launches and driving adoption across complex organizational structures.
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills combined with strong product instinct to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences and drive business outcomes.
  • Proven experience creating enablement materials (decks, battlecards, talk tracks) that effectively move win rates and empower sales teams to close more deals.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using data from surveys, usage metrics, funnel analysis, and win/loss insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing performance.
  • Highly collaborative, resourceful operator who thrives in fast-moving environments while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders with precision and adaptability.
Experience we’d be particularly excited about
  • Health benefits, fintech, or regulated categories.
  • Building PMM foundations at an early-stage company (personas, GTM frameworks).
  • Enabling hybrid GTM models (direct sales + channel/broker ecosystems).
  • Turning member-focused narrative into scalable assets and programs.
What to expect

We interview rigorously based on integrity, talent, and drive; the trust we display in our teammates from day 1 is a reflection of the confidence we have in this process. We aim to evaluate the things you’ll be doing every day as best we can, and we move quickly. Here's what to expect:

  • 20 minute video meeting to talk through your background and interest in Thatch
  • 30 minute video meeting with the hiring manager to dive deeper into your experience and the role
  • 30 minute video meeting to meet 3 members of the team
  • 30 minute video meeting with the hiring manager to work through a live case study
  • 30 minute video meeting with our founders to discuss your approach to culture and our operating principles
Estimated Compensation Range
$174,000$218,000 USD
