Vantor is seeking a Product Security Technical Manager to join our Cybersecurity team. This role will help strengthen the security of our software products by partnering with developers, improving security throughout the CI/CD lifecycle, improving the cloud security posture, supporting cybersecurity incident response, and mentoring engineering teams on secure development practices through technical contributions and leading a team covering Product Security.

This position can be performed remotely within the continental United States.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on security professional who understands application security, software development, security tooling, and cyber incident response. You should be comfortable researching threats and vulnerabilities, using security assessment tools, writing scripts, working in modern IDEs, leveraging modern AI tools, and communicating security guidance to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Responsibilities 

• Manage the application security team members and coordinate between developers, cloud, and cybersecurity compliance 

• Develop and manage a secure coding program in partnership with software developers, engineering leaders, and product teams; establish secure coding guidance, standards, training, code review practices, and risk-based remediation processes 

• Integrate, deploy, configure, and maintain application and cloud security scanning tools, including Wiz Code and related technologies; improve security throughout the software development lifecycle by embedding security checks and feedback into CI/CD pipelines 

• Analyze security findings, assist teams with root-cause analysis, and provide practical remediation recommendations 

• Help define application security metrics, reporting, and risk-management processes 

• Participate in cybersecurity incident response activities, including investigation, evidence analysis, containment support, root-cause analysis, and lessons learned 

• Research emerging vulnerabilities, attack techniques, security tools, and defensive practices relevant to Vantor’s applications and infrastructure 

• Support application security assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security reviews as needed 

• Mentor engineers and security professionals on secure design, coding, testing, and operational practices; build strong working relationships across software engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and security operations teams 

• Promote a practical, risk-based security culture that enables engineering teams to build and deliver secure software efficiently 

Required Qualifications 

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered 

• 7 or more years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, product security, security engineering, or a related discipline 

• Demonstrated experience managing secure coding and application security programs 

• Experience deploying and maintaining security scanning tools within software development and CI/CD environments 

• Familiarity with application security testing techniques, including static analysis, software composition analysis, secrets detection, container security, infrastructure-as-code scanning, and cloud security assessment 

• Hands-on experience supporting cybersecurity incident response and investigations 

• Competency in modern AI tools and proper application towards incident investigation, summarization, and vulnerability remediation 

• Working knowledge of software development practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, development frameworks, and modern IDEs 

• Ability to write or modify scripts for automation, analysis, testing, and security operations 

• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and secure software design principles 

• Ability to communicate technical risks and recommendations clearly to developers, engineering leaders, and other stakeholders 

• Demonstrated ability to mentor others and influence teams

Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually.● The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually.● The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually. ● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $140,000.00 - $187,000.00 - $205,700.00 annually.● The base pay for this position within California is: $147,000.00 - $196,000.00 - $215,600.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
