Job Summary

Responsible for tracking product information in order to keep businesses and supply chains on schedule for production lines. Ensure proper scheduling and record keeping for materials moved within operations. Participates in work related to receiving, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies within operation areas. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision. 

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Lead daily production activities by communicating shift priorities, addressing production and customer service issues, and ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts.

  • Monitor manufacturing performance, identify bottlenecks, downtime, quality concerns, and material shortages, and coordinate with Purchasing, Maintenance, and Test Support teams to resolve issues quickly.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by participating in process development, cost reduction efforts, and operational efficiency projects.

  • Support workforce planning by coordinating staffing needs, tracking NPI/pre-production/rework activities, and helping manage departmental budgets and expenses.

  • Champion quality and operational excellence by monitoring key performance indicators, responding to scrap events, updating communication boards, and taking immediate action when performance falls below established targets.
     

The Experience We're Looking to Add to Our Team

  • Associate degree, vocational/technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to serve as a subject matter expert for team members.

  • Proven ability to analyze operational data, interpret technical instructions, identify root causes, and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to provide coaching, performance feedback, and guidance to employees while collaborating across multiple departments.

  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, data interpretation, reporting, and manufacturing metrics, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in day-to-day operations.
