Essential Responsibilities
Project Execution Oversight
Provide day-to-day execution oversight for multiple large and complex projects led by Senior Project Managers.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, approved execution plans, and portfolio priorities.
Review and challenge project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and mitigation actions to ensure robustness and realism.
Drive execution rigor and consistency across projects, ensuring early identification of deviations and timely corrective actions.
Governance, Risk & Escalation
Establish and lead project governance cadence (project reviews, risk reviews, recovery plans) for assigned projects.
Consolidate and manage cross-project risks and dependencies (engineering, factories, supply chain, site readiness).
Escalate material risks, capacity conflicts, or execution trade-offs to the Portfolio Leader with clear options and recommendations.
Support recovery of at-risk projects, leading corrective action plans in coordination with Senior PMs.
Financial & Performance Control
Oversee project-level cost, margin, and cash performance, ensuring discipline in forecasting, EAC updates, and contingency usage.
Review and validate major financial assumptions before escalation to the Portfolio Leader.
Support Senior PMs in managing variation orders, claims preparation, and commercial exposure.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
Lead, coach, and develop Senior Project Managers, reinforcing accountability, execution discipline, and leadership behaviors.
Ensure consistent application of project management processes across assigned projects.
Actively contribute to talent development, succession planning, and capability building within the project team.
Cross-Functional, PCO & Factory Coordination
Act as a key execution interface with engineering, factories, sourcing, quality, and site teams to resolve delivery issues.
Support alignment of factory priorities and capacity for assigned projects, escalating conflicts through the portfolio governance structure.
Ensure lessons learned, standardization, and best practices are captured and deployed across projects.
Work closely with the PCO team to ensure unified communication, consolidated risk management, and coordinated delivery of all GE scopes within the overall customer program.
Customer & Stakeholder Interface
Support Senior PMs in key customer engagements, milestone reviews, and escalation meetings as required.
Reinforce consistent and transparent communication with customers, aligned with the portfolio strategy and messaging.
Represent the execution organization in internal forums when delegated by the Portfolio Leader.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
Minimum 10-12 years of experience executing large, complex electrical substation or power projects.
Demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent projects through Senior Project Managers.
Strong execution background across engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases.
Solid understanding of project financials, risk management, and contractual exposure.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (~25%).
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Desired Characteristics
Experience working within portfolio or program structures for large EPC or OEM projects.
Strong execution mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery pressure and disciplined governance.
High credibility with Project Managers, factories, and functional leaders.
Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and escalation judgment.
PMI certification (PMP or equivalent).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $154,800.00 and $258,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
