Project Engineer Interns assist with managing large design-build construction projects from concept through closeout. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, engineers, planners, clients, and subcontractors; managing design schedules, budgets, forecasts, costs, and project execution; and supporting senior project managers. The role requires nationwide travel, job-site mobility, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and familiarity with construction practices.

The Role We Want You For
As a Project Engineer Intern you will have the opportunity to travel the country building large complicated iconic design-build projects $30 million and above. In this role you will be part of a team responsible for taking projects from conceptual stages through closeout.
The Specifics of the Role
- Build client and subcontractor relationships.
- Team with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to create and manage a design schedule.
- Assist in the establishment of project forecasts and budgets.
- Manage costs.
- Accept responsibility for project execution.
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited University.
- General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.
- Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work is a plus.
- Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Successful internships or Project Engineering experience on projects of at least $5 million (design-build preferred) is a plus.
- A solid understanding of the company's Safety-First philosophy and practice.
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
- Capable to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.
- In this role you will assist senior project management team members in managing construction projects.
- You will be expected to provide guidance and leadership.

Compensation
- Intern Hourly Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour based on expected college graduation month/year.
