Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer on our Public Infrastructure team you will:

  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates and requires an understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination
  • Devises alternative approaches and solutions to problems
  • Engineering planning, analysis, design, estimating, contracting, project management, construction, and delivery phases for:
    • Linear infrastructure, roadway, rehabilitation projects
    • Municipal and facility master planning, evaluation, rehabilitation, and expansion
  • Assist with management of general consultation tasks for Municipal & Special Districts
  • Building and maintaining relationships between project teams and collaborating to ensure that technical, quality, cost and client requirements are implemented
  • coordinating with outside sub-consultants
  • Preparing a range of reports to communicate project information to team members, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Works closely with project team
  • Mentoring to junior staff
  • The candidate must have experience in handling multiple simultaneous projects, and a desire to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance at WGA Houston office
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering discipline
  • EIT license required; or able to receive within 6-months of employment
  • 1+ year of experience
