Job Description SummaryReporting to the Hardware Core Technology Team (CTT) Leader, the Project Leader is mainly responsible for leading the projects to support the NPI and product LCS (Life Cycle Support) activities across the Hardware CTT teams globally, including maintaining/improving the efficiency of local/global PLM (Product Life Management) system, design change process and task management system. The project leader is also responsible for leading projects that support broader initiatives, such as Process/tool improvements, Supply chain security enhancement, Environmental compliance, etc.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and cross site teams effectively.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Guide and manage projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and timelines

  • Maintain the operational efficiency and data integrity of global/local PLM (Product Life Management) system, design change and task management system. Initiate and lead the project for improvement.

  • Drive initiative team accountability Determine the most efficient approach for the project execution. Define plans and be accountable for tracking the progress and elimination of obstacles through coordination and collaboration with peers / stakeholders during the execution.

  • Own the delivery of projects assigned. Deploy industry proven practices and leverage GE established procedures and tools in project and quality management to ensure the both the speed and quality of the deliverables.

  • Be the single point of contact in HW CTT organization to provide PLM support for global sourcing and other cross-functional teams.

What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience. 

  • 10+ years’ experience in a global company with proven track record of leading projects across multi-functional teams without direct reporting relationship to position.

  • 5+ years’ experience with PLM (Product Life Management) system, design change and task management system.

  • Familiar with electronics product development/industrialization process and supply chain material management system.

  • Expert in using MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Self-motivated and resilient to challenges. Ability to work across boundaries and coordinate individual teams/stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Experience with Omnify, Windchill or similar PLM Systems

  • Experience with JIRA or similar tools.

  • Experience with setting up/migrating PLM systems, licensing and development environment for embedded hardware, software and firmware systems 

  • Exposure to the design architectures of PLC’s, protection and control relays, gateways, and data concentrators or similar products.
