About the Role
Becker Professional Education is looking for a Cross Functional Project Manager to lead product launches, major product updates, and strategic business initiatives from idea through delivery.
You will bring together teams across Product, Curriculum, Content Production, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Business Operations, and Customer Support helping everyone understand the plan, their role, and what needs to happen next.
Most of your work will focus on broader product and business initiatives, with technology serving as one important part of the project. You will also coordinate a smaller group of technology-related requests, helping translate business needs, track progress in Jira, and keep stakeholders informed.
You do not need to be a software engineer or the most technical person in the room. You do need to be comfortable partnering with technical teams, asking thoughtful questions, and turning complex conversations into clear next steps.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people together, creating structure, working through ambiguity, and helping teams successfully cross the finish line.
Come Build What’s Next
- Lead cross functional projects from initial planning through launch, establishing clear goals, timelines, milestones, ownership, dependencies, and measures of success
- Coordinate product launches and major updates across Product, Curriculum, Production, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Business Operations, Customer Support, and other partner teams
- Keep projects moving by facilitating conversations, clarifying decisions, identifying risks, resolving roadblocks, and holding teams accountable for commitments
- Serve as a neutral and trusted partner when priorities compete, scope changes, or teams need help reaching alignment
- Coordinate technology related work by communicating business needs, opening and monitoring Jira tickets, partnering with cross functional teams and sharing clear status updates
- Adapt your project management approach based on the size, urgency, and complexity of the work, bringing the right level of structure without creating unnecessary process
- Five or more years of experience leading cross functional projects or programs from planning through successful delivery
- Experience coordinating work across several business functions, such as Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Content, Production, or Technology
- Strong project leadership skills, including the ability to create clarity, influence without direct authority, manage competing priorities, and hold stakeholders accountable
- Experience using both Waterfall and Agile approaches, with the judgment to determine which level of process is appropriate for each project
- Working knowledge of Jira or a similar tool, including the ability to create or monitor tickets, understand project status, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Strong communication, relationship building, problem solving, and facilitation skills, with the ability to remain objective and adaptable in a fast moving environment
- Jira and Confluence
- Monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or a similar project-management platform
- Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
- Salesforce and Drupal
- Visio, Lucidchart, or similar process-mapping tools
- AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms
- Lead meaningful projects that directly support products used by accounting professionals and learners around the world
- Work across the full business rather than being limited to one department or type of project
- Help bring new products and major improvements to life from early planning through successful launch
- Join a growing team where your project leadership, judgment, and ideas will have a visible impact
- Partner with talented colleagues across Product, Content, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support
- Be part of a culture that values curiosity, teamwork, continuous learning, and finding practical ways to move work forward
