Develop, organize, and write compelling, compliant proposals (RFP/RFQ/RFI), translate technical content for general audiences, craft transmittal letters, manage proposal schedules, mitigate risks, and collaborate cross-functionally to highlight win themes and differentiators.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for creating content for proposals and other writing projects for CentralSquare. Gathers material from a wide variety of sources and interprets it without changing meaning. Deciphers technical descriptions and translates them into clear language for a general audience. Writes compelling transmittal letters that effectively highlight the differentiators of the proposed solution and any unique details; uses appropriate tone and terminology. This position is expected to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all client matters.
Job Duties Include:
- Upholds overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of proposals and compliance with Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotes (RFQs), Request for Information (RFIs) requirements to provide highest likelihood of down selection/short list.
- Ensures proposals are on track, recognizes early signs of proposal risk, and proactively addresses them and escalates them.
- Oversees, supports and leads the development of opportunity win themes, competitive differentiators, and defining the flow and organization of the proposal story line.
- Collaborates with cross-functional internal departments to prepare compelling, well-articulated proposals with integrated messaging.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, English, Technical Writing, or related field
- 4 + years’ experience writing proposals or other types of related formal documents, such as grant applications
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce preferred
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools and proficiency working with Word templates and document styles.
- Prior writing experience from a sales or technical background preferred.
