We are an innovative technology company providing a cutting-edge, AI-powered cloud platform for the construction industry. Created by industry experts with deep estimating experience, our software dramatically streamlines the pre-construction process. Our solution uses advanced machine learning to automate traditionally time-consuming takeoff tasks, helping estimators work up to 80% faster while reducing costly errors.

Our collaborative platform enables real-time teamwork, instant drawing analysis, and features a revolutionary conversational AI interface that transforms how professionals interact with construction plans. Founded by construction industry veterans, our award-winning application automates the takeoff process, enabling estimators to analyze blueprints in seconds rather than hours or days.

What You'll Do
  • Work across multiple teams: Contribute to two or more product teams simultaneously and maintain context across parallel work streams and priorities.

  • Validate all shipped features: Test backend, frontend, and any relevant system components.

  • Own bug handling end-to-end: Triage, prioritize, and document defects with clear reproduction steps; perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and hidden issues; Drive bugs to resolution in collaboration with engineers and PMs

  • Leverage AI to improve QA workflows: Use AI tools to accelerate testing, analysis, and reporting; Continuously refine processes to increase efficiency and coverage; Focus on early bug prevention, rapid detection, and resolution.

  • Strengthen observability practices: Support teams in defining and building meaningful dashboards; Design and maintain post-deployment validation checks; Monitor Sentry and logging systems to identify issues proactively.

  • Improve and expand test automation: Continuously evolve automated test coverage and reliability; Contribute across testing layers: end-to-end, integration, and unit tests; Align automation efforts with team priorities and system architecture.

What We're Looking For
  • QA Experience: 3+ years of QA experience for complex web or SaaS applications, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and defect lifecycles. ****ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (CTFL) is a plus.

  • Quality Advocate: You don’t just follow a checklist; you operate with the autonomy to identify gaps in our processes or features and the initiative to step in whenever quality is at stake.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience reading architectural/engineering blueprints or a background in the construction/estimating industry is a massive advantage.

  • Meticulous Eye: Exceptional attention to detail, specifically the ability to spot calculation errors, spatial misalignments, and edge cases in dense datasets.

  • Clear Communicator: Ability to write crystal-clear, highly reproducible bug reports that save engineers time and eliminate back-and-forth.

  • User-Centric Mindset: A strong sense of empathy for the end-user, combined with the intuition to test "how an estimator actually works" rather than just clicking through the happy path.

Why Togal
  • Market position: We are growing very quickly and gaining market share. Contractors trust us.

  • Timing: You're joining early enough to shape the company, late enough that we have traction.

  • Innovation: We don’t use "AI" as a buzzword. We are applying deep learning to a massive industry that hasn't changed in decades.

  • Autonomy: Teams decide what to build, when to ship, and how to measure success. We don't micromanage.

  • Team: You'll work closely with product, engineers who ship daily, and a design team that understands construction workflows. Small team, high impact.

  • Real users: The construction industry is brutally honest. If your product sucks, they'll tell you. If it's good, they'll pay for it and tell their friends.

We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse team. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds who are passionate about using technology to transform the construction industry.

Join us in revolutionizing pre-construction estimating with the power of AI!
