Quality Assurance Analyst II, GIS Services

Defines the standards and methodologies to assure geographic information system (GIS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) data meet federal and state compliance requirements and on-going internal business requirements.

• Develop and maintain quality assurance methodologies to assure GIS and EAM data management processes result in accurate, complete, and timely data.
• Develop quality assurance processes to continuously review data entry and identify potential problems at the individual editor and overall process levels.
• Analyze, evaluate, and document current data completeness and accuracy. Create reports to provide insight into data quality and on-going improvements.
• Develop and maintain data quality reporting metrics.
• Identify, recommend, and coordinate data and process improvement solutions.
• Provide organizational support for data quality issues as required.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
• Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements 

Bachelor's degree required in Geographic/Geospatial Information Science, Engineering, Business, or similar area of study.

Experience 

• In addition to education, this role typically calls for two to four years of relevant professional experience; (Minimum of one-year relevant experience is required).
• Proven experience developing and managing geospatial data and analytics using the Esri ArcGIS Pro software suite and IBM Maximo, with a working knowledge of Utility Network concepts and functionality..
• Experience analyzing and evaluating large tabular data sets.
• Experience utilizing advanced geospatial analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and document technical processes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop reports and presentations.
• Working knowledge of interpreting compliance requirements, governmental rules and regulations.
• Working knowledge of natural gas system construction methods and documentation.
• Knowledge of statistical methods.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (Power BI), Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, and Feature Manipulation Engine (FME). 

Licenses and Certifications 

Applicable driver’s license required.

• Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
• Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
