Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineering and Program Manager to join our Air Dominance Proprietary team in Mesa, AZ!
This position will require the ability to lead through complexity, make sound technical decisions and keep quality at the center of program execution. This leader will manage a team of Quality Engineers and NCQA Engineers while balancing technical rigor with demanding program schedules. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can quickly translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable information without compromising quality including quality status and schedule risks to senior and executive leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
  • 1+ year of experience performing schedule-related risk and opportunity analyses and providing potential solutions to management
  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Communication, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with executive-level management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field
  • Prior Quality Management Experience
  • Direct experience performing in quality engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, system engineering, or change management
  • Solid working knowledge of Quality Tools (APQP, Early Quality Involvement, RCCA)
  • Experience building internal and external customer relationships

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10-15% of the time.

Summary pay range: $123,250 - $166,750
