Focused Approach for U.S. Military Veterans

 

Cohort Schedule:
RapidAscent offers Full-Time Day Cohort Dates (17-week Duration) and Part-Time Evening Cohort Dates (23-week Duration) starting on the following dates:

  • October 21, 2024
  • January 06, 2025
  • April 07, 2025
  • July 07, 2025
  • October 06, 2025

Engage in the RapidAscent Cybersecurity Job Readiness Program, specialized entry- to intermediate-level cybersecurity Job Readiness training, meticulously crafted to provide hands-on experience and elevate your skills into a rewarding career in cybersecurity.
 

Cybersecurity Job Readiness VA-Approved Program:

The RapidAscent Cybersecurity Job Readiness Program includes:

  • Incident Response
  • Risk Management
  • Threat Hunting
  • Product Security
  • Network Security

All are tailored to a veteran’s industry of choice, including: Aerospace, Manufacturing, Energy, Financial, and Healthcare.

Program includes:

  • Live online instructor-led training
  • Gamified job simulator tasks
  • Projects, team exercises, and enterprise systems
  • A strong network of employers
  • Advanced resume writing, LinkedIn, and interview skills
  • Includes DOD 8570 compliant training and Sec+/CySA+ voucher

To qualify for this program you must:
  • Apply to this posting and we will submit you to RapidAscent (they will reach out to get you started)
  • Complete a one-on-one assessment with your RapidAscent career counselor
  • Complete one-way interview
  • Obtain an acceptance letter and register with CityU for the RA program


Financial Aid & Support
  • Participate in our Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program at zero out of pocket cost.
  • Our hands-on training is competency- and skill-based, propelling you into direct employer job opportunities or paid apprenticeship programs. We take the same crawl, walk, run approach that works for the military.
  • There are many different ways to get funding for your transition into a new career. We work with you to identify what programs you qualify for and combine various funding sources together to fully cover your tuition. 
  • The programs include SkillBridge, DOL, VA programs, grants, and more.
