POSITION: Logistics Coordinator – US&C

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator position is a key role for an enthusiastic team player as well as being independent and moving tasks to completion. Strong organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/ long term priorities and strong multitasking skills are a necessity. Key objectives will be achieving/ improving/ exceeding business requirements for targeted customer service levels, directing carriers, 3rd Party Logistics providers, and Customs Brokers within the country and/or region. The individual will work internally and externally to fulfill international orders and distribute customer/dealer orders. This position requires a strong customer focused mindset and an ability to work across functional boundaries while driving change. The responsibilities for this role are:
- Prepare import documentation to release materials from Customs and other government agencies, as well as export documentation (commercial invoices and bills of lading, etc.)
- Daily follow up with sources regarding all open PO´s to check availability of material at the warehouse; information shared with Sales and Planning
- Coordinate with source of supply to deliver products on time
- Prepare reports to Accounts Payable each month to pay suppliers
- Generate PO´s into SAP system to pay providers
- Inbound Shipment Tracking
- Assist Compliance manager with validating HTS and other government agency requirements
- Support new product launches, portfolio rationalizations, discontinuances, and source of supply changes
- Coordinate 3PL warehouse to receive all imported materials
- Report any damage to source (defect tracking, freight claims)
- Perform inventory control with 3PL (quarantine, scrap, cycle counting, evaluate discrepancies, perform adjustments)
- Facilitate KPI performance with 3PL warehouse, carriers and customs broker monthly
- Coordinate/support audits (internal and external) related to 3PL and Customs Broker
- Analysis of IVA (Inventory Valuation Adjustments) materials
- Participate on Morning Market to report issues
- Participate in monthly cost analysis for warehouse operation and carriers
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience working tactically with supply chain processes required: Transportation Management, 3PL Warehouse Management, Import/Export flows
- Knowledge of International Trade
- Knowledgeable of SAP – specifically Inventory Control transactions; workflow resolutions
- Proven ability to work and influence outcomes in a matrix environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work with business partners understanding cultural, business and economic differences of the various countries
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator in both oral and written presentations
- Demonstrated experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools
- Strong results orientation and execution
EDUCATION
- BS degree in Supply Chain & Logistics preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience as Logistics Coordinator (or specific SC&L function such as transportation)
- APICS Certification preferred
TRAVEL
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel
Compensation Range (including bonus): $65,000 - $70,000
