With the success and steady growth of our organization, we are excited to introduce a REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS for the Western Region of the Olympus portfolio, position under the leadership of the Senior Vice President of Operations or President of Operations.

This role requires that the Regional Vice President reside in Arizona or willing to relocate

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Regional Manager in the multifamily industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assumes overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of all assets within their sub-region.
  2. Constantly seeks to develop strategies for enhancing the economic performance of the region and company.
  3. Clearly communicate vision, oversee overall operations to optimize performance and achieve company goals through Olympus Property core values.
  4. Mentor, develop and coach team within region, while ensuring goals are aligned to drive the overall success of the portfolio.
  5. Lead by example, motivating the team while ensuring a collaborative and healthy team atmosphere throughout organization.
  6. Create high performing teams that enhance company culture of accountability, engagement and positive morale.
  7. Exhibit strong leadership skills, while remaining adaptable and open to recommendations from teams and peers.
  8. Interface with Asset Management and Department Directors regarding quality improvement, correction and staffing of assets. Additionally discussing marketing, occupancy, budget conformance, personnel, capital improvements and any other material topics.
  9. Collaborate between regions to ensure standardization and consistency of best practices across the entirety of the platform.
  10. Create, implement and maintain best practices (including internal road maps, templates and processes) of Olympus Property operations and ensure they are aligned with company core values.
  11. Complies with all policies and procedures established by Olympus Property for the administration of the properties and the company.
  12. Complies with the Federal Wage and Hour Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Workers’ Compensation Act, and all applicable state and local statutes and regulations.
  13. Attends and participates in industry association meetings and seminars to keep up-to-date on trends and changing conditions in the marketplace.
  14. Report on asset performance, variance, team updates and initiative to SVP of Operations.
    Cooperates in the completion of any other tasks which may be requested by the SVP of Operations.
  15. Participates in the marketing of the company on a local and regional level as needed to promote business growth, develop and maintain investor relationships.
  16. Maintains a detailed knowledge of the primary market.
  17. Administers the approved annual budget of income and expenses in accordance with Olympus Property requirements.
  18. Monitors the status of the operating budget and determines necessary reductions or increases in allocations.  Pays particular attention to expense ratios as determined by the company.
  19. Support coordination for acquisition, due diligence, underwriting, market analysis and overall internal support in order to expand existing and future investment opportunities.
  20. Implements action plans and strategies for maximizing asset/portfolio performance.

  2. Ability to move independent groups to accomplish goals and exhibit strong interpersonal skills to successfully empower and lead subordinates.
  3. Performance oriented and highly motivated to produce results, having demonstrated this trait in prior experience. 
  4. Ability to accomplish work through others including providing clear direction and expectations.
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication, active listening and time-management skills.
  6. Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  7. Ability to take ownership of projects and produce high quality results.
  8. Meticulous attention to detail, systematic organizational skills.
  9. Possesses a strong work ethic and takes a proactive approach to their work.
  10. Strong leadership skills including motivating, coaching and developing employees.
  11. Professional correspondence etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.
  12. Should take initiative and be committed to producing quality outcomes in work completed independently and as part of a team.
  13. Must have strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  14. Must be willing and able to travel regularly.

Education and Experience: 

  • Over 10 years of experience (Required) in Property Management field specifically to include operational experience and ability to lead a team
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Regional Manager in the multifamily industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time is required
  • Luxury Class-A experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate or related field, and/or equivalent experience preferred
