JOB DESCRIPTION

Director, Technology and Information Risk leads a team that strengthens Green Dot’s Product, Process, Technology, Information Security and Data Risk posture. The role partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Information Security and Data leadership organizations to build solutions that ensure policy adherence, risk appetite, risk measurement, control effectiveness, and regulatory readiness. This role reports into the SVP, Head of Non-Financial Risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a deep knowledge of Green Dot’s Technology platform and utilize Technical experience to  provide oversight of the Product, Technology, Strategy, Product Roadmap, Design, Implementation and Risk Assessment program for the Green Dot’s Banking products and services

  • Provide oversight of the Product, Technology, Strategy, Product Roadmap, Design, Implementation and Risk Assessment program for the Green Dot’s Fintech products and services through Build, Scale and Management of Risk Products, Controls and Monitoring Processes which ensure that the Key Risk Indicators are within acceptable thresholds and ensure desired Business outcomes

  • Partners with the business and other cross functional teams to gather business/technical/user requirements based on risk target operation model in order to perform risk and control assessments (RCSA) in areas such as Product, Technology Information security, data governance etc

  • Build and scale solutions that secure Green dot’s Data and Information and conduct independent testing of controls based on a risk-based approach and oversees the control testing program for Technology, Info-security & data.

  • Monitor KRIs and track risk and control inventory and Escalates key incidents and high residual risks events (based on KRIs) to the Chief Risk Officer

  • Provides support to the TPRM function by analyzing technology and data risk for a given vendor or partner, and assists in overall risk assessment of key programs

  • Develops and maintains Critical Business Process taxonomy and hierarchy for the firm

  • Monitor evolving risks and impacts as part of firm’s New Initiatives and Change Management Programs

  • Utilize knowledge of SQL to drive analytics and data driven decisioning

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience of operational risk experience with US chartered banks

  • Proven experience in combination of Product Management, Technology and Risk functions at leading financial institutions

  • Good understanding of regulatory frameworks

  • Competencies: Sound team work, Ability to lead a team, Effective communicator, Biased towards action

PAY RANGE

The targeted full-time base salary for this position is $161,200 to $241,800 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
