Position Summary:
Swiftly is hiring a Retailer Development Manager to grow retailer adoption through our wholesale and cooperative partners. This role will be the primary sales contact for small independent grocers who buy Swiftly through partner agreements. The Retailer Development Manager will also be the day-to-day contact for partner sales teams: enabling their reps, keep the joint pipeline accurate, and run the operating cadence that keeps each partnership productive.

When a retailer needs a tailored demo, proposal, or media plan for the Smart Suite or Audience Optimizer, this role will qualify the opportunity and hand it to our Retail GTM team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prospect independent grocers in our partners’ networks by phone, email, LinkedIn, and at partner member shows, working alongside partner sales teams
  • Take qualified grocery independents from first conversation to signed contract under existing partner agreements, using standard packages, pricing, and terms
  • Qualify and hand off opportunities that need retailer-specific demos, proposals, or media plans for the Smart Suite of solutions and Audience Optimizer to the Retail GTM team, with clear notes on needs, stakeholders, and timing
  • Progress from sourcing pipeline to closing standard retailer deals directly over time
  • Coordinate the move from signature to onboarding for independent grocers so new retailers go live quickly
  • Serve as the primary contact for partner sales reps: coordinate meetings with appropriate stakeholders, share wins, and track partner health
  • Run each partner’s operating cadence, including pipeline syncs, QBR preparation, and planning sessions
  • Keep pipeline, deal registration, and attribution accurate in Salesforce, and report weekly on pipeline and partner performance
  • Help maintain the channel playbook, sales materials, and partner training content
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 – 4 years in a BDR, SDR, inside sales, or similar customer-facing role, ideally in B2B software, retail technology, or digital media
  • Undeterred in high-volume outreach and cold calling, and comfortable hearing “no” before you hear “yes”
  • A track record of hitting activity and pipeline targets
  • Clear, confident, and consultative communicator by phone, email, and video, skilled at turning a first conversation into a booked meeting
  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle many calendars, partners, and follow-ups without dropping any
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Uses AI tools day to day for prospecting, account research, and staying organized
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Motivated to grow into a quota-carrying sales or account management role
  • Experience in grocery, CPG, retail media, or digital marketing
  • Familiarity with grocery wholesalers and cooperatives and how their member retailers buy
