Own revenue accounting and controllership for cryptocurrency products, including revenue recognition, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and regulatory filings. Responsibilities
- Functional expert in Revenue Accounting of Crypto products
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Entity Controllers to ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions
- Ensure proper revenue recognition for transactions and contracts in accordance with company policies and revenue recognition accounting standards
- Perform detailed analysis of revenue streams and trends to identify potential opportunities and risks
- Month End Close Reporting and Reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting Policy Lead to establish revenue recognition policies in accordance to IFRS
- Support any local audits, statutory filings and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the month end close reporting process
- Work closely with the Business Units and Finance Business Partners to evaluate the financial impact of new products and initiatives
- Lead the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools, with a focus on automation and scalability
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in a combination of industry, preferably in FinTech / Financial Service, and Big 4 public accounting experience with at least 4 years in a Revenue Accounting or Controllership function.
- Bachelors degree and a Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or similar)
- Experienced with International accounting and proficient in IFRS
- Well versed in business combinations, derivatives, hedging, NFT, pay services and complex blockchain products
- The proven ability to design and implement effective operational controls and processes in a highly regulated environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Proficiency in Netsuite or similar ERP system as well as data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau
- Independent and comfortable in a high growth comapny where structure, procedures and policies are in development
- Adapt to a face paced continous learning environment and show a willingness to take on additional responsibility, where required
- Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, with a desire to stay informed about industry developments and trends
