You help the firm grow its business responsibly by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgment to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities.
As a Credit Officer in our Commercial Banking team, you use your credit training and experience to assess the creditworthiness of customers and facilitate portfolio growth while mitigating risk. You work with us to structure transactions, analyze relationships, and recommend solutions that protect the bank. Together, we build strong partnerships and contribute to the resilience of our organization. Job Responsibilities
  • Structure transactions while balancing risk and reward
  • Author concise and thoughtful credit analysis for customer relationships
  • Identify key risks and recommend appropriate credit structures
  • Work proactively with internal and external contacts to move transactions forward efficiently
  • Lead complex transactions, including syndications and multi-level capital structures
  • Evaluate smaller relationships and recommend simple structures to protect the bank
  • Collaborate with team members to support portfolio growth
  • Communicate credit decisions clearly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate credit documentation and reporting
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree with a business focus
  • Completion of a major corporate or commercial bank credit training program and three years of commercial banking experience, or
  • Minimum five years of experience in commercial banking or lending, including credit, structuring, or marketing
  • Significant accounting and finance knowledge
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience leading complex transactions such as syndications
  • Familiarity with multi-level capital structures
  • Track record of contributing to process improvements
  • Ability to work efficiently with diverse internal and external contacts
  • Experience authoring credit analysis for a variety of client relationships
  • Proven ability to balance risk and reward in transaction structuring
  • Leadership experience within a credit or banking team
