The Sales and Yard Operations coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administrative activities of assigned area. 
This position also manages safely locating, receiving, inspecting, verifying, and documenting assets in a yard environment. This position will also provide inventory counts and operate various types and sizes of equipment.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards 
  • Performs other related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required 
  • Verifies and documents all assets arriving and/or departing equipment yard
  • Accurately stages and preps assets to fulfill incoming requests
  • Loads and unloads assets, conducts inspect procedures, fuels, and reports the condition of assets per safety protocols 
  • Provides timely updates for all inventory items leaving and/or returning to the yard through the shipping and receiving function
  • Photographs all incoming and outgoing assets and uploads pictures following current processes 
  • Troubleshoots, communicates, and problem-solve potential shipping and receiving delays on assets
  • Performs, reconciles, and completes inventory counts of machines and work tools 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of invoicing, receiving, and basic business accounting principles 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Effective utilization of organizational planning, self-management, analytical problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills 
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office product skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to interact with tact and courtesy and maintain a professional manner
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Sales and Yard Operations Coordinator 1:
  • Knowledge of construction equipment sales industry
  • Strong planning and coordination skills
  • Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems 
  • Dexterity, hearing, and talking requirements are constant
  • Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations, and detect situations of concern
  • Ability to operate a forklift 
  • Ability to conduct safety assessments before starting a task 

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Up to two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Travel: 
  • Up to 5% of travel expected 
Physical Requirements:
  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. 
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
  • Significant amount of time standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, and twisting 
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Regularly works indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts 
  • May be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
Sales and Operations Coordinator 1:
  • Often assists in familiarizing customers with equipment and work tools outdoors on yards and in display areas
  • Noise level may be loud at times
  • Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water and high-speed rotating equipment
  • Requires wearing personal protective or safety equipment (PPE)
  • Required to perform work in cramped or confined spaces and/or at elevated heights
