Position Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern at SolarWinds you’ll join a high-energy, collaborative sales team focused on driving growth and creating opportunities.Shape In this role, you’ll learn how to identify potential customers, engage prospects, and qualify leads that support our Account Executives. This internship is a great opportunity to develop foundational sales skills, gain exposure to the software industry, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential customers using targeted prospecting strategies.
  • Engage with leads through email, social media, and phone to generate interest in SolarWinds solutions and qualify them for sales opportunities.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule meetings for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to execute campaigns and initiatives.
  • Gain knowledge of SolarWinds’ products, solutions, and market positioning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Recent graduate with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, engaging presence.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn about sales and technology.
  • Comfortable making calls, writing professional emails, and connecting with prospects.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaborate and contribute in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
