The Sales Director, Core Math leads the strategy and execution of Curriculum Associates’ core math sales efforts across state adoption and open territory markets, driving growth through the development and execution of multi-year sales strategies aligned to national and state trends, research, and legislation. This role ensures strong field readiness, supports high-stakes sales engagements, and partners cross-functionally to align product positioning, marketing strategy, service delivery, and implementation, while representing the voice of the field internally and advancing math adoptions that result in successful implementations and measurable student impact.

The impact you'll have:

  • Set the Strategy and Drive Growth
    Lead the overall core math sales strategy, building clear multi-year and territory plans aligned to adoption cycles and growth priorities.

  • Lead Big Opportunities
    Step into high-stakes sales moments—presentations, pilots, and key district engagements—and help move priority deals forward.

  • Build Strong Relationships
    Develop trusted partnerships with district leaders and decision makers while focusing on the states and accounts that matter most.

  • Prepare and Equip the Field
    Ensure the sales team is ready with strong messaging, product knowledge, competitive insights, and clear go-to-market plans.

  • Partner Across Teams for Successful Implementation
    Work closely with product, marketing, service, account management, and learning & development to ensure alignment from positioning through implementation.

  • Drive Accountability and Results
    Monitor performance, forecasting, and Salesforce tracking; support conference strategy; and address escalated issues to ensure successful adoptions and measurable impact.

Who we're looking for:

  • You bring deep expertise in K–8 math pedagogy, the curriculum landscape, and education market trends, grounded in substantial educational sales experience.

  • You are a strategic and disciplined leader who builds multi-year and territory plans, executes with focus, and drives measurable results.

  • You build strong, trust-based relationships with district leaders and stakeholders, serving as a credible and professional partner.

  • You are a clear and compelling communicator, confident in presentations, writing, and executive-level conversations.

  • You are analytical and data-driven, using territory data, forecasting, and performance metrics to guide decision-making.

  • You bring creativity and inspiration to your work, finding innovative ways to engage customers, energize teams, and elevate impact.

  • You thrive in cross-functional and team-based environments, fostering collaboration and high performance.

  • You are an experienced educational sales leader (7+ years), with a strong background in territory planning and forecasting, team leadership, and preferably state adoptions, core implementations, and SaaS or blended instructional solutions.

Travel: Travel up to 75%

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $93,250-$166,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan and receive an employer match. Employees have access to a flexible vacation and sick policy in addition to twelve paid holidays and a winter office closure between Christmas and New Year's, as well as a number of additional perks and benefits.
