Description

We’re looking for a technically savvy Sales Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and loves working at the intersection of product, sales, and customer success. In this role, you will learn to articulate how current data security solutions are designed and deployed, and why they are failing so that you can provide value to potential customers. You will be part of a team responsible for changing what the security market and customers believe is possible with next-generation DLP technology. As one of the first sales engineers on the team, you’ll play a critical role in both pre-sales and early-stage post-sales engagements, helping customers understand the value of our platform and how it solves their real-world security challenges.

Responsibility
  • Partner with account executives to engage prospects and support the sales cycle from discovery to close
  • Deliver compelling product demos, proof-of-value (PoVs) and technical presentations tailored to customer needs
  • Translate complex data security concepts into clear, business-relevant outcomes for stakeholders of all technical levels
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for prospective customers during the sales process
  • Capture and relay customer feedback to product and engineering teams to influence the roadmap
  • Help build and refine sales collateral, demo environments and PoV frameworks
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive solutions and emerging threats
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer or related customer-facing technical role in cybersecurity or SaaS
  • Solid understanding of common technologies and practices (e.g., endpoint security, cloud security, networking, SaaS solutions)
  • Knowledge of data security, legacy DLP solutions and the DLP market
  • Ability to write and modify basic scripts. Preferred languages are PowerShell, Python and Bash
  • Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies
  • Experience with large scale cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in startup environments: proactive, adaptable and resourceful
  • Bonus: experience working in an early-stage startup or building SE processes from the ground up
