As Meter’s first Sales Engineering hire supporting our Channel partners, you’ll be the technical counterpart to our largest National and Strategic partners. You’ll work alongside partner engineers on their customer opportunities, run training on-site and virtually, bring partner teams through Meter Labs, and build the cadence that keeps Meter top-of-mind, while reporting directly to our Head of Sales Engineering.

What you’ll do
  • Be the go-to technical resource for engineers and SE leaders at partners like CDW, SHI, Presidio, and WWT.

  • Support partners on end-customer opportunities, from discovery and design through technical validation.

  • Build and run an engagement cadence for each priority partner, and use transaction data to decide where your time goes.

  • Host on-site and virtual technical training, and bring partner engineers through Meter Labs.

  • Represent Meter at channel and partner events.

  • Work with Product Marketing to deliver technical updates to the partner community.

  • Stay aligned with Meter’s Distribution, National Partners, and Strategic Partners leaders.

What we’re looking for
  • Several years as a Sales Engineer or Systems Engineer in enterprise networking, with significant time as a partner or channel SE at an OEM or on the engineering side of a national VAR.

  • Deep technical knowledge of switching, routing, wireless, and network security, and the ability to whiteboard a design with a room of partner engineers.

  • Existing relationships with National and Strategic VARs and MSPs.

  • Experience building and delivering technical enablement and training.

  • A proactive approach: you set the cadence and use data to prioritize, instead of waiting to be pulled in.

  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Why Meter?

Meter is a vertically integrated networking company. Hardware, software, services, ISP, and autonomous networks—all built on a single data pipeline from the local network to the data center.

The internet runs the world. Every purchase you make, video call you join, it's all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.

We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.

Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.

Compensation
  • The estimated base salary for this role is between $140,000 - $190,000.

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.
