About MODA®

MODA®, a STARLIMS company, builds the leading modular software platform for manufacturing quality control and execution in regulated industries. Pharma, biotech, cell and gene therapy innovators, and CDMOs rely on MODA to move from paper-based, error-prone workflows to fully digital, paperless operations on the manufacturing floor and in the QC lab.

Our platform helps regulated manufacturers:

  • Automate environmental monitoring, utility testing, and product testing with location-based scheduling, mobile data collection, and paperless lab processing
  • Execute and manage electronic batch records on a configurable, scalable system from clinical through commercial manufacturing
  • Surface on-demand reporting, trending, and visualization for deep process analysis by the people making the calls
  • Simplify GMP compliance and meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and global regulatory standards

Now part of the STARLIMS family, MODA is backed by a global informatics ecosystem trusted in more than 2,000 laboratories worldwide — while keeping the focus, speed, and deep manufacturing expertise that made our customers describe us as critical to their daily operations.

We value people who are curious, accountable, collaborative, and empathetic. Our teams are small, nimble, and driven to win. If you want to build your career selling a technical product that customers genuinely depend on, you'll feel at home here.

The Role

We're hiring a Sales Executive to drive business development and new-logo sales of our enterprise software and process automation technologies into the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device industries.

This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable talking shop with a QC microbiologist and walking a VP of Manufacturing through ROI. You'll identify emerging customer needs, position MODA's value, and own the full sales cycle — from first conversation to signed deal — partnering closely with our product, technical, and commercial teams to bring tailored solutions to market.

What you'll do

  • Meet and exceed an assigned quota for new software licenses and professional services revenue
  • Own the full sales process — from lead identification to close — for an emerging product technology focused on electronic data management in life sciences manufacturing
  • Generate, monitor, and qualify leads through outbound prospecting and inbound follow-up
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects, answering technical and commercial questions with confidence
  • Keep customer and pipeline data clean and current in Salesforce
  • Continuously refine your sales approach to reflect what customers actually care about
  • Identify target accounts and decision-makers using the web, social media, industry publications, and third-party data
  • Run targeted outreach campaigns, share marketing collateral, and follow up consistently
  • Coordinate meetings between prospects and sales engineers or executives
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on industry events and trade shows

About you

  • Experience selling informatics, analytics, or process automation software platforms into life sciences
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Confident verbal, written, and presentation skills — you can hold the room with both scientists and executives
  • Working knowledge of cGMP manufacturing processes (Cell and Gene Therapy, Biologics, CDMO, Fill/Finish, Upstream/Downstream) and/or QC Microbiology is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) strongly preferred
  • Prior experience selling MES, EBR, or LIMS solutions strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, IT, or Business

What we offer

  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan with company match
  • Life insurance and disability/income protection

STARLIMS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, creed, religion, color, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, genetic information, veteran status, age, or disability status.
