We’re looking for a Sales Manager who thrives at the intersection of leadership, process, and performance and is excited to build a scalable, high-performing sales organization.

The Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving efficiency, accuracy, and performance across all sales channels. This role leads our Inside Sales Team, Sales Administrator, and Territory Account Managers (TAMs), ensuring revenue targets are met, quotes are accurate and profitable, and client relationships are strengthened—while consistently modeling Darkhorse’s core values.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys coaching teams, improving processes, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Coaching
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales Team, Sales Administrator, and Territory Account Managers (TAMs)

  • Run regular sales team meetings to align on goals, priorities, and performance

  • Coach TAMs on client engagement, relationship management, and upsell strategies

  • Balance and monitor workloads to ensure timely and efficient quote and ticket handling

  • Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing professional development

Quote Accuracy & Sales Process Excellence
  • Ensure all sales quotes are accurate, complete, and margin-protected

  • Oversee the quoting workflow in ConnectWise Sell, meeting turnaround and quality standards

  • Partner with Sales Admin and Procurement to validate costs, SKUs, and pricing

  • Maintain consistency and quality across the sales process

Sales Performance & Reporting
  • Track and analyze key sales metrics including quote volume, turnaround time, conversion rates, and client engagement

  • Manage team quotas and ensure goals are achievable and consistently monitored

  • Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to the VP of Sales

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Finance and Procurement to protect margins and ensure smooth order processing

  • Partner with Marketing to provide field feedback and influence lead generation strategies

  • Collaborate with Projects and Service teams to improve install quality through accurate quoting

  • Support sales strategy development and capacity planning with the VP of Sales

Sales Culture & Continuous Improvement
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven sales culture

  • Identify inefficiencies or training gaps and implement scalable improvements

  • Champion best practices across the ConnectWise Suite, including pipeline hygiene and data integrity

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience leading sales or inside sales teams

  • Strong understanding of sales operations, quoting, and margin management

  • Experience with CRM and quoting tools (ConnectWise experience strongly preferred)

  • Ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable

  • Data-driven mindset with strong reporting and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

  • Experience in MSP, IT services, or B2B technology sales is a plus
