The Sales Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and developing business opportunities within the assigned territory.
PURPOSE: Responsible for presenting and selling Company products and services to existing and new customers, acting as point of contact with customers, and achieving sales targets and goals. Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering and understanding customer needs. Responsible for identifying business opportunities within the assigned territory, building, maintaining and negotiating to close a sales pipeline to meet sales goals.
FUNCTIONS:
- Identify new business opportunities with prospective tenants for the company assets through contacts, research, prospecting, meetings, and presentations.
- Actively market existing and projected assets to Mobile Network Operator’s (MNO’s) and other prospective tenants within established territory.
- Prospect new clients, create proposals, presentations and collateral related to the development of clients and businesses within assigned territory for the portfolio of assets and services offered
- Manage Funnel and Pipeline and provide regional forecasts.
- Manage and serve existing customers to create long-term business relationships and keep the accounts up to date.
- Develop and implement commercial strategic plans to reach the budgetary goals of assigned territory.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
- Develop and nurture customer relationships by identifying requirements; anticipating and resolving problems, which may include attending development meetings for operations plans.
- Monitor and communicate metrics with tracking tools and reports as required, including updating sales activity weekly and providing forecasts.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Gather and provide the company and peers with information from the industry and field that can be used positively for pricing, acquisitions, forecasts, and other activities affecting our business.
- Represent and ensure the best interests of the company.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports, and realistic forecasts to the management team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or similar field, MBA a plus.
- More than 3 years’ proven experience as a sales manager with a track record of success.
- Tower, infrastructure, or telecom related industry experience.
- Results oriented, diligent, persistent, self-motivated and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of real estate, property management, zoning, and construction.
- Experience negotiating long-term contracts, building, and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Contacts in the field of telecommunications with knowledge of the market and customers.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multitask, project management skills a plus.
- Disciplined, organized, and thorough individual who is a self-starter.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team.
- English proficiency is required.
- Possess approved visa for travel to U.S.
