Job Summary & Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experiential marketing experience required, with field marketing, and/or tradeshow/conference planning and execution experience
  • Experience working with Public Sector customers, preferably Federal customers
  • B2G experience preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills with a track record of successfully executing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Collaborate seamlessly across teams, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to drive success.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $66,000 to $82,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?
The Sales Marketing Manager–Federal will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of impactful customer experiences—from tradeshows and networking events to thought leadership seminars. You’ll partner closely with the Federal sales team to ensure event strategies align with business priorities, leveraging data and insights to guide decisions. Working collaboratively with marketing peers, you’ll create engaging digital and in-person touchpoints to create awareness and demand generation to achieve pipeline and revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the planning, budgeting, production and execution of exceptional customer experiences, including, but not limited to, tradeshows, networking events and thought leadership seminars.
  • Serve as a business partner to the Federal sales team – aligning event strategy to business priorities, while leveraging research, data and insights to guide decisions. In addition, develop and manage relationships with key other stakeholders that are internal clients of the Sales Marketing Team. This may include Services leadership, Engineering leadership, and other key executives.
  • Work horizontally with Marketing peers to influence messaging and articulate World Wide Technology’s capabilities, differentiating value, and key benefits for the Vertical
  • Create experiences that engage with customers every step of their journey: pre, during and post event, deepening consideration and intent at every stage. Additional multi-channel touchpoints, developed in partnership with Marketing peers, may include digital advertising, OOH, social posts, event signage and collateral, PR, email nurturing campaigns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key partners (business, OEM, media, etc.) to obtain funding and establish joint presence at events.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts and ensure campaigns stay on-budget
  • Work closely with third party vendors to produce high-quality and impactful events.
  • Evaluate campaign performance, measure ROI and translate results into actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of Federal industry trends affecting clients, and use the trends to make strategic recommendations
  • Bring a positive and creative mindset to work each day – energizing the team and helping drive business forward.
  • Provide onsite support, with up to 30% travel
