ABOUT THE ROLE


The Sales Support Coordinator serves as the “service owner” responsible for the overall servicing and escalation experience provided to external Partners of Bright Health. This includes serving as the key liaison between external partners (Agents, Agencies, General Agencies, Field Marketing Organizations) and key internal partners (Broker Manager, Broker Service Unit, Underwriting, Clinical, Provider Relations). This vital role is key in the overall Distribution Team as they will work to swiftly address second-level escalations, provide consistent follow up of outstanding issues and actively work towards timely issue resolution. This position will not be responsible for first-level service issues.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide concierge level support to external distribution partners by owning the overall service experience
  • Work with key internal service teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately while effectively managing expectations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners in the centralized service teams to better manage external Broker Service Experience
  • Establish and maintain strong and business appropriate relationships with external distribution partners to maintain a positive experience
  • Coordination and execution of entry level broker communications. Including but not limited to; call campaigns, new agent introduction calls, state-based exchange and FFM agent information procurement
  • Fully accountable for supporting the Broker Manager in facilitating resolution of all elevated service requests by working with the centralized service team and managing resolution efforts
  • Facilitate regular communication of issue receipt, understanding and progress
  • Understanding that providing consistent follow up is key, regardless of issue resolution being obtained yet or not
  • Identify issues/trends and analyze root cause to determine corrective action steps
  • Participate/ Support the Broker Manager with local consumer events, sponsorships and relevant industry conferences as necessary
  • Perform other assignments and responsibilities as required by management

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Customer service mentality highly preferred
  • Strong healthcare industry knowledge relevant to ACA compliant Individual & Family Plans
  • Familiarity with State based and Federally Facilitated Market exchanges
  • Demonstrate in depth understanding of Health Plans and Plan Benefit structure
  • Familiarity with different key departments within the organization as well as TPA and PBM vendor partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain strong authentic internal and external partner relationships via phone, email and face to face interactions
  • Professional and positive attitude and demeanor
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of personality types
  • Ability to interface with and influence internal business partners through the use of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a “hunter” mentality when navigating an escalation through numerous hurdles in an attempt to reach appropriate resolution
  • Ability to quickly learn multiple system platforms and comfortably navigate through a variety of Plan and Benefit documents, Provider and Formulary search tools.
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization to accomplish distribution partner satisfaction

LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Health Producer License preferred or may obtain within the first year of employment
