Director, Strategic Accounts
As a Director, Strategic Accounts, you will service our existing customers, source additional private placement offerings, and create long-term, programmatic relationships with them. Our existing customers are institutional-quality CRE developers, owners, operators (collectively "sponsors"). Your success equates to having dozens of happy sponsors who consider CrowdStreet their preferred capital partner and who allocate most of their equity capital needs to us. You will be an important contributor to the team servicing sponsors in your region, with responsibility for generating predictable and recurring revenue.
This position is remote and reports to our VP of Capital Markets.
The Success You'll Build:
- Originate equity offerings (private placements) from a preferred list of our existing sponsors. Use Salesforce CRM to build a pipeline of opportunities. Close several deals per month. Create long-term, programmatic relationships.
- Enhance and strengthen existing relationships with our sponsors as measured by their customer success metrics. Gain an understanding of your sponsor's strategic goals and advise them on how CrowdStreet can help them achieve their goals.
- Be the main contact at CrowdStreet for your assigned sponsors.
- Support your teammates also assigned to your named accounts, including Managing Directors, Associates, Investment Managers, Project Managers, and Portfolio Managers to ensure sponsor success.
- Pre-screen properties and investment structures before formal submission to the Investment Committee, ensuring that the offerings are aligned with our Investment Committee Thesis.
- Negotiate agreements and term sheets with your sponsors for their offerings.
- Once a project proposal is signed, contribute to the success of your sponsor's online capital raise by supporting your teammates in Operations. Marketing, and Investor Relations.
- Contribute to the ongoing monitoring of a project over time by supporting the Portfolio team with sponsor reporting compliance.
- Work with Marketing and Sales Enablement teammates to ensure that we are constantly listening and learning from our sponsors to meet their needs.
The Experiences That Will Help You Succeed:
- 5+ years of private equity real estate, CRE investment sales, and capital markets investment banking experience.
- Advanced investment real estate evaluation, underwriting, and assessment skills
- Customer success and account management experience
- Experience meeting sales quota goals
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- Willing to obtain SEI and Series 79 licenses within 90 days (or current, active equivalent FINRA licenses) with the ability to complete others, such as Series 63.
