Administer and monitor enterprise SAP landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, and NetWeaver. Support Basis operations, system refreshes, transports, patching, kernel updates, performance monitoring, incident resolution, alert configuration, health checks, reporting, and capacity planning. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, functional, and managed-services teams while maintaining operational documentation and supporting compliance and continuous improvement.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid to Senior-Level SAP Basis & Tooling Administrator to support the monitoring, administration, and operational health of enterprise SAP environments. This role is ideal for a technical SAP professional with 3-5 years of experience supporting SAP systems and a strong background in SAP monitoring and management tools.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP Basis administration and SAP monitoring platforms such as SAP Solution Manager, Avantra (Syslink), BMC Patrol, CCMS, ProMonitor, or similar enterprise monitoring solutions. This individual will work closely with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, Operations, and Application teams to ensure system stability, performance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities
SAP Basis Administration
- Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of SAP landscapes.
- Monitor SAP environments including ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, and related platforms.
- Assist with SAP system refreshes, client copies, transports, and routine Basis activities.
- Support SAP patching, kernel updates, and system maintenance activities.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance.
SAP Monitoring & Tooling
- Administer and support SAP monitoring and management platforms, including:
- SAP Solution Manager
- Avantra (Syslink)
- BMC Patrol
- SAP CCMS
- ProMonitor
- Other SAP monitoring and alerting tools
- Configure monitoring alerts, thresholds, dashboards, and notifications.
- Analyze system alerts and work with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Perform health checks and proactive monitoring across SAP environments.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring system and performance issues.
Incident & Operational Support
- Provide Level 2 support for SAP Basis and platform-related issues.
- Troubleshoot SAP application, connectivity, performance, and infrastructure incidents.
- Participate in incident management and change management processes.
- Create and maintain operational documentation and support procedures.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor SAP application performance and system utilization.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and escalate remediation recommendations.
- Generate operational reports and dashboard metrics for stakeholders.
- Support capacity planning and availability management initiatives.
Collaboration
- Partner with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and managed services providers.
- Assist with planned maintenance activities and system upgrades.
- Support audit, compliance, and operational readiness activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across SAP operations.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of SAP technical experience.
- Hands-on SAP Basis administration experience.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or NetWeaver environments.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- SAP Solution Manager
- Avantra (Syslink)
- BMC Patrol
- SAP CCMS
- ProMonitor
- Experience monitoring enterprise SAP production environments.
- Working knowledge of SAP transports, system monitoring, and Basis operations.
- Experience troubleshooting SAP performance and availability issues.
- Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows server environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Avantra (Syslink) monitoring solutions.
- Exposure to SAP HANA environments.
- Experience supporting managed services or enterprise SAP operations teams.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and ServiceNow.
- Experience supporting highly available SAP environments.
- SAP Basis Administration certification.
