Month-End & Compliance:

  • Reconcile cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and AP/AR within the General Ledger

  • Record and reconcile accruals and payroll journal entries

  • Record intercompany journal entries and reconcile intercompany loans, AR, and AP

  • Record, analyze, and reconcile revenue, deferred revenue, and accrued revenue entries

  • File and pay Canadian federal and provincial sales tax returns and manage tax authority correspondence

  • Perform quarterly bad debt analysis and record appropriate journal entries

Additional Duties:

  • Support the preparation of annual tax returns and tax credit initiatives

  • Support the preparation of financial audits

Desired Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation (or in progress) preferred

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a tech, SaaS, or multinational environment

  • Language: Full professional proficiency in both English and French (written and verbal) is required

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets; hands-on experience with NetSuite is a strong asset; familiarity with Salesforce, FloQast, Rydoo, or similar tools is a plus

  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of Canadian federal and provincial tax regulations (GST/HST/QST); working knowledge of US/North American GAAP accounting standards is an asset

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, ability to manage competing deadlines, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment
