Role Overview
Lead specific parts of Acumatica projects while continuing to expand Acumatica expertise and consulting skills to drive successful implementations and delight customers. As a member of our application team, consultants will work on new client implementations including requirements gathering, configuration, training, testing, and go-live activities. The Senior Consultant may also lead workstreams and mentor or coach less experienced team members.
Objectives (Key Outcomes)
Complete assigned tasks independently and collaborate with the project manager to assign tasks based on team members’ skill sets, in alignment with the SOW, Business Process Review (BPR) documentation, and company methodology.
Maintain 75% utilization on an average annual basis.
Maintain Acumatica certifications and continue developing skills across multiple modules.
Continue to develop soft consulting skills.
Responsibilities
Implement and support Acumatica ERP for new and existing customers.
Perform design, product configuration, testing, data conversion, and go-live support.
Provide detailed consulting estimates and implementation project plans.
Establish and maintain a “trusted advisor” relationship with customers; negotiate resolutions to business, process, or functional issues with business stakeholders.
Complete and provide weekly status reports.
Follow Acumatica’s implementation methodologies.
Achieve utilization targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate expert proficiency in at least one main focus area and intermediate proficiency in at least two others; obtain appropriate certifications and build industry expertise.
Lead requirements gathering and design activities; collaborate with Consulting and Client Teams to collect information; oversee configuration, training, testing, and go-live activities for medium-sized or complex projects.
Proactively communicate status, issues, and concerns to the director, project manager, and/or architect/lead.
Provide coaching and quality assurance to ensure team members follow internal Implementation Methodology and best practices.
Communication & Leadership
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Tailor communication style to multiple levels of an organization and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Facilitate group discussions with team members and customers.
Develop accurate written materials and support less experienced team members to uphold company standards of excellence.
Take a leadership role in change management processes, demonstrating a solid understanding of change management concepts.
Project Management
Monitor project budgets and ensure delivery within budget.
Independently manage work schedule and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
Resolve scheduling and workload conflicts while managing multiple activity streams.
Work with director/project manager to identify and delegate project tasks when necessary.
Education and Experience
- Four-year degree in Business, Accounting, MIS, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of implementation and support experience with Acumatica, with a specific module focus on the Financial Core, Field Service, Project Accounting, Construction Management, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working with customer-facing businesses and application functions.
- Ability to adopt specific methodology and work within a team.

- Willingness to travel up to 30% in the US and Canada. Prospect and client locations may also be spread out over a geographic area.
- Acumatica certifications are a plus.
- Experience with a consulting organization or reseller is a plus.
- Experience as a controller or senior accountant is a plus.
