Gong is seeking a Senior AI Transformation and Operations Engineer who can operate at the intersection of business transformation and technical execution. Sitting within our IT organization, this role is the heartbeat of our internal digital transformation, defining the AI strategy that creates sustainable competitive advantage while ensuring our enterprise AI operations are governed, consistent, and scalable.

You will partner cross functionally across Talent, Sales, Support, and Go-To-Market to identify the highest value AI opportunities, then drive them from concept to measurable business outcome. At the innovation level, you will shape high-level AI objectives and build proof-of-concepts that demonstrate real ROI. At the operations level, you will ensure our enterprise AI spend delivers maximum value. This is an individual contributor role designed for a "scrappy builder" who thinks like a business strategist and executes like an engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • AI Use Case Identification: Identify the internal AI use cases that drive the most value
  • Proof of Efficacy: Build and deploy POCs independently to demonstrate ROI before scaling.
  • Business Partnership Coordinate AI project execution across teams (Talent, Support, Sales, Go-To-Market) to ensure critical initiatives move forward.

Operations (The "Guardrails")

  • AI Process Standardization: Build consistent AI processes that enable the business to meet its objectives (e.g. prompt libraries, system approvals)
  • Performance Monitoring: Build dashboards to track SLAs/SLOs (latency, accuracy, uptime) and monitor usage, cost, and error rates.

  • The Persona: You can think as a business strategist (high level objectives) and as a technical builder (familiar with IT operations or the software development life cycle) Technical Depth: Practical, hands-on experience with the modern AI stack (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, Vector DBs).
  • Scrappy Builder: You have a "hands-on-keyboard" mentality. You can take an idea from a stakeholder and turn it into a working agentic workflow without needing external engineering resources.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical AI patterns into clear business value and ROI for stakeholders.
YOU ARE EXPERIENCED WITH
  • Orchestration: Experienced with LangChain, or similar agentic frameworks.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $121,000 - $185,000 USD.

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
