Senior hands-on engineer responsible for production-ready blockchain platform architecture, smart contract development, multi-chain integrations (EVM and non-EVM), secure transaction lifecycles, wallet and RPC integrations, RBAC, audit logging, monitoring, treasury and payout workflows, and compliance/security controls working with the technical lead and founders.

This is a remote position.

Our client is building the infrastructure that enables humanitarian organizations to use stablecoins without requiring blockchain expertise.

Rather than building another wallet or payment application, we're creating an orchestration layer that connects donors, NGOs, compliance providers, blockchain networks, regulated financial institutions, and local payout providers through a single API.

Blockchain is the infrastructure—not the product.

Our platform orchestrates the complete payment workflow, including:

  • Funding and treasury management
  • Compliance and sanctions screening
  • On-chain transactions
  • Reporting and audit trails
  • Beneficiary payouts
  • Local off-ramp integrations

We integrate best-in-class providers for custody, compliance, blockchain connectivity, and financial settlement instead of replacing existing financial infrastructure.

About the Engagement

This role begins as a project-based contract focused on delivering key milestones for an upcoming pilot.

The initial engagement is deliverables-based, with clearly defined objectives and timelines. Upon successful completion of the pilot and continued platform growth, there is a strong opportunity to transition into a long-term full-time engineering role.

You'll work directly with the founding team and Technical Lead, helping shape the architecture and technical direction of the platform.

Where the Platform Stands

Our MVP is approximately 80% complete.

Already Live
  • NGO onboarding and authentication
  • Wallet connectivity
  • Stablecoin payment initiation
  • Compliance screening
  • On-chain transaction execution
Current Technology Stack

What You'll Deliver

During the pilot engagement, you'll be responsible for taking the platform from MVP to production.

Production Readiness
  • Production hardening and infrastructure improvements
  • Encryption at rest and in transit
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Comprehensive audit logging
  • Security reviews and penetration testing
Platform Development

Build and complete several core platform components, including:

  • Off-chain audit records
  • Donor reporting dashboard
  • Treasury workflows
  • Local off-ramp integrations
  • Payment orchestration APIs
Blockchain Engineering
  • Develop and integrate secure smart contracts using audited standards such as OpenZeppelin
  • Expand the chain abstraction layer across:
    • Ethereum
    • Stellar
    • Arbitrum
    • Base
    • Tempo
  • Support both EVM and non-EVM blockchain ecosystems
Transaction Security

Design and implement:

  • Transaction approval workflows
  • Operational guardrails
  • Secure wallet interactions
  • Risk controls
  • Blockchain transaction monitoring (e.g., Chainalysis or similar)

Requirements

We're looking for a senior engineer with hands-on production experience building blockchain-enabled applications.

Strong experience with
